Since its been below zero outside for quite some time I thought maybe it's time to work on the inside of my Scout.
I had discovered that the door switches on the driver and the passenger side did not work. I went down to my local autozone in found 2 door switch that will replace my current your switches. no problem with the Scout it is really easy to replace and fix pretty much anything. Took me about 5 minutes on each side to replace the switch and now when I open the door I have courtesy lights. But of course that was just not good enough for me, so I decided my Scout needed a little customizing. I decided to add LED lighting under the dash. Below is a picture of what it looks like when lit up at night.
Now that I had the LED lighting working it was time to move on to the instrument cluster. Originally the Scout had black instruments. I thought what would it look like if everything was nice and bright and white. I purchased a kit from whitegauges.com. My son Justin and I took apart instrument panel one by one we painted each needle by hand and installed the new white gauges. I really think this added to the looks of the instrument cluster.
